South Florida Divers, Inc., a Fort Lauderdale area dive club, is hosting its second annual Fundraiser to benefit SUDS, Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba (SUDS).

The SUDS program is designed to help improve the lives of severely injured veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. By training the warriors in a challenging and rewarding activity, it can help facilitate the rehabilitation process and promote mobility unlike any other sport. SUDS is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization and a chapter of the Disabled Sports Project.

We will be manning a booth at the Miami International Boat Show Feb. 16-20. Throughout the entire show, SFDI will be in the Dive & Travel Harbor section, booth # 1926, displaying items available for a silent auction and raffle. Dozens of items have been generously donated such as:

SCUBA Gear Packages
Cameras
Artwork
Travel and Live-Aboard Packages
Fishing Gear
And many more items!

Saturday, Feb. 18 at 6pm, we will be hosting a reception in Room B 118 at the Convention Center with videos about SUDS, speakers, live entertainment provided by Fishhead Soup, food and drinks. This is a free event that anyone may attend, however a $10 donation is appreciated. The silent auctions and raffles will come to a close that evening and winners will be announced. Boat Show admission is not required for entry into the reception.

Last year we raised nearly $13,000! Please help us do even better this year!
